enjoy

Combine my new love for Instagram, Gel Medium, Molding paste and Tim Holtz Distress inks I have finally completed a layout with all of the above. I have been interested in mix media for a while and thought it was about time I had a go. It took me a while to translate what I planned for this and with the help of my new bubbles mask and Mister Huey's white mist it all came together. This is only the beginning because I had so much fun and can't wait to experiment some more.
Studio Calico classic PP, bubbles mask and white mist. A lil' somethin' embellishments including clouds, flowers, bottlecap and banner. A flair for buttons..OH Happy day! Journaling tags and enjoy title from Heidi Swapp.

epic

It's a big word for a batch of chocolate chip cookies but to my children in the school holidays these were epic! So I used a combination of Amy Tangerine sketchbook collection and my other favourite pattern paper called Paper heart by Crate Paper. I used my new Die-namics ticket die and MFT stamps set to make this cute pink Chevron ticket. Super simple and lots of fun!
Added embellishments of the star and arrow by Heidi Swapp
love these!! and the buttons by a flair for buttons.

This is my lastest layout for my album using Amy Tangerine collection and my favourite watercolour paints. These are my skates and I still have from when I was 12 and skated out the front of my driveway for hours to pass the time away. If only I was that fit now LOL!!

I love my new washi tapes from Sawyer's Place....so happy with the bright summery colours. I will be making many more with these tapes for my boy and girl layouts.

Amy Tangerine

I have been so inspired with Amy Tangerine's ranges and decided to start scrapping a whole album with just photos of me and what I love. So here some of my first layouts and don't worry I have so many more to go! I am having so much fun so thank you Amy Tan!

sweet

I love the recent photo shoot of my nephews and sweet niece and couldn't wait to create a layout. The background was a challenge and I was glad to get some help with the new technique for me with distress inking. I used a woodgrain template with white embossing power and then my friend Rikki achieved the colour shading with three of Tim Holtz distress ink. So happy with the end result.

Boys

I loved doing these last 2 LOs of my superhero boys...Boys are so much fun! I used the black and white caution washi tape.

Boys will be boys

Love this photo of my 2 older boys inventing their own superhero costumes all those years ago. I just had to scrapbook this one.

love my boy

The number washi was great to use on my teenage boy layout.

Let your heart guide you

Usually I would use this range for a boy Layout but I just love how it matched this picture of my girls out in the sunshine.

Beach Buddies

These two are so good together.

My daughters

A very different colour scheme for me to try with an older black and white photo.

Sweet obsession

This was so much fun!

Bliss

I just love the beach it is true...I have so many photos of the beach to scrapbook. I have had this one printed out since 2009 and loved it. Most of the time I hold on to photos until I find that perfect paper or sketch. Then sometimes you just have to go for it and not wait any longer. I was so pleased I have finally scrapped this one. I was really happy to use one of my new washi tapes I brought recently from http://sawyersplace.bigcartel.com/ and it just goes so good together.

she loves splat

Shania loves to read books everywhere she goes and on our holiday we visited a bookstore and sure enough she found the reading corner. This is one of her favourite picture books. I wanted to feature the paw print washi with a different sort of photo other than one of a pet dog or cat. I liked how this worked out really well.

Paw print washi from http://sawyersplace.bigcartel.com/ used in a few ways and Basic Grey cat stamped onto old dictionary paper. Crochet red flower from an esty store. Part of the title using yellow Thickers from American Craft.

The chick goes cluck

This photo is from Kindy last year when the farmyard on wheels came to play. She didn't know what to do with the chicken that was handed to her to hold as you can see on her face! This is a simple layout that came together quickly with just the right paper I had in my stash for a while now.

believe

I love this photo of Mia with the autumn leaves and it has taken me a while to find the perfect paper to go with it. I found I had a sketch but ended up changing it..as I do quite often. I am trying to use some of my different paper ranges I have left over from other layouts.

This fairy whispers paper and believe transparency is from Glitz and the rub ons from Basic Grey.
The butterfly and tag is from My Mind's eye. The fairy charm from a bead shop was silver so I coloured it with a black sharpie to change the appearance which worked out really well.

found

This is the first photo I thought of which is perfect for this paw print washi from http://sawyersplace.bigcartel.com/ and I have a few more different layouts which I am working on now and will share soon.
My children have really wanted a pet for years now and they are still waiting for a number of reasons which I won't go into right now. So when this cat sat meowing at our door and ran inside everytime the door was opened my children were so happy. I did end up looking after the cat while we put an ad on the local deli window. In the end the owner came home from holidays and told us his name was George !!

this story means the world to me

I was given the new owl washi tape from Sawyer's Place to design with and after alot of consideration I was happy with how the two Layouts turned out when I paired it with Amy Tangerine Pattern paper range. It also helped to tie it all together with the two different chipboard owls from Dusty Attic. They came with the option to have the owl wide awake or fast asleep hence the two different looking owls. I applied texture paste onto the blossom branches from Dusty Attic to add texture and then outlined them to add some detail. The other great thing about washi tape is you can machine sew onto it easily without it being too sticky for the needle and I like that because it gives me more options. I have decided to make sure if I scrap one daughter I then do another layout for the other one. Just so it remain even and didn't seem like favouritism as I tend to have lots more photo ops with Mia my youngest.

Instagram fun

Now I have Instagram on my phone I am having way too much fun changing photos. This woodgrain PP range from October afternoon was really dark but I loved how it turned out combined with leftover PP from Crate paper.
Background from October Afternoon 9 to 5 range called boardroom
and the title from Kaisercraft timeless scrabble stickers.
Other pattern paper from Crate Paper called Restoration.

older photos

I wanted to use the Sampson range of washi tape from Sawyer's place and found a cute older photo of Mia asleep in the car. I am glad I want to start scrapping my older photos that are only packed in a box at the moment. Oh and I have so many layouts I need to do using this collection.

I love how the different washi tapes went together and I used a strip of
Basic Grey Wander Vroom range.

Design team

Well it's official and I am so excited ! I have been chosen to be a design team member for Sawyer's Place. I was so happy I went and created two layouts with some of the washi tape I had in my stash while I waited for my first design team pack. This is an older photo of Mia as a baby.

Today

Here is the other Layout using My Mind's Eye kraft fun day range. I was so excited to use the cute kit I brought from A Lil' Somethin' with all the little embellishments as it made this layout quick and easy. There is washi tape numbers and up the top is a little Binoculars metal charm from Handmade Halo as well.

Free play

To get creative during the school holidays I actually found a day to scrap two layouts outside under the patio with the music blaring. I didn't realise how much I needed a day to scrapbook and enjoy the process. I used gesso and a Prima stencil for the background with Halo button, pebble and resin bird.

I love washi tapes

As the title says I have started buying washi tape and now have a nice collection of 57 tapes but of course I need more !! It is safe to say I am addicted ! I have applied for a guest design team spot for my favourite place to buy washi tape at http://sawyersplace.bigcartel.com/

Here is one of my recent layouts I sent through. The border is a selection of washi tapes and the butterflies are from the kaisercraft Hummingbird range.

Hello Blogging World!

I've finally decided with encouragement from friends to post on my blog. I wanted to start somewhere with a previous layout that I loved creating with all my children. This photo was taken at our beautiful foreshore. I had so much fun taking this photo and using the Little Yellow Bicycle Collection called Fresh Print Clothesline.
